Oltre 30 alumni del Master in Digital Fashion Communication si sono ritrovati a Lugano per la loro prima Reunion: un’occasione per riallacciare i contatti, condividere esperienze professionali e creare nuove connessioni.

Dopo Shane Legg (PhD Inf 2008) e Giacomo Brenna (Arc 2003), l’USI Alumni Award va a Fabio Bossi (PhD Eco 2006), oggi delegato della Banca nazionale svizzera a Berna e Lugano. Congratulazioni! Nel 2027 sarà il turno della Facoltà di Comunicazione.

Nel corso dell’ultimo anno accademico, oltre 140 alumni sono tornati on campus per condividere la propria esperienza professionale e raccontare agli studenti dove può portare un percorso iniziato all’USI. Dopo una seconda edizione con 27 alumni, riparte il Finance Career Mentoring Programme e arriva il nuovo Career Mentoring in Fashion. Se lavori in uno di questi settori e vuoi condividere la tua esperienza con gli studenti, puoi diventare Mentor anche tu: contattaci.

Nuovi alumni si sono uniti ai Chapter da Amsterdam a Singapore, rafforzando una community sempre più internazionale. Con 52 Chapter attivi nel mondo, le occasioni per restare connessi non mancano. Trova il Chapter più vicino a te, o aiutaci a portarne uno nella tua città.

È in corso la 21ª indagine sui laureati USI, che nel 2026 coinvolgerà 1’762 alumni a uno e cinque anni dalla laurea. I primi dati confermano l’ottimo inserimento professionale dei laureati. I risultati completi saranno pubblicati a breve. Continua a seguirci per scoprirli.

L’11 maggio a Lugano e il 20 giugno a Mendrisio, 450 nuovi laureati sono entrati nella community USI Alumni, che conta oggi quasi 15’300 membri. Tra loro anche Elisa Valentina Botti, vincitrice del Premio AMA 2026 per il miglior progetto di diploma dedicato all’architettura territoriale.

Il Consiglio dell’USI ha nominato il Prof. Dr. med. Claudio Bassetti nuovo Rettore USI. Neurologo di fama internazionale, nato e cresciuto in Ticino, assumerà ufficialmente l’incarico il 1° settembre 2026. Lo affiancherà Alan Valnegri, nuovo Direttore operativo.

Dal 2022 USI è partner di Space Exchange Switzerland con EPFL, ETHZ, UZH e ZHAW, per promuovere il settore spaziale e le carriere in Svizzera. L’impegno di USI Career ha contribuito al +600% di candidature svizzere per stage ESA e nuovi progetti sono all’orizzonte. Lavori nello spazio? Contattaci!

L’USI guadagna 17 posizioni nel QS World University Rankings 2027 e 20 per l’impatto della ricerca. Si conferma inoltre tra gli atenei più internazionali al mondo: 16ª per studenti internazionali e 35ª per corpo accademico internazionale.

More than 30 alumni from the Master in Digital Fashion Communication came together in Lugano for their first Reunion: a chance to reconnect, share professional experiences and make new connections.

Following Shane Legg (PhD Inf 2008) and Giacomo Brenna (Arc 2003), the USI Alumni Award goes to Fabio Bossi (PhD Eco 2006), now a delegate of the Swiss National Bank in Bern and Lugano. Congratulations! In 2027, the award will honour an alumnus or alumna from the Faculty of Communication.

The 21st USI Placement Survey is underway and will involve 1,762 alumni, one and five years after graduation. The first results confirm strong employment outcomes for USI graduates. Full results will be posted soon—stay tuned!

At the graduation ceremonies in Lugano on 11 May and Mendrisio on 20 June, we welcomed 450 new graduates to the USI Alumni community, now nearly 15,300 strong. Among them was Elisa Valentina Botti, winner of the 2026 AMA Award for the best diploma project in territorial architecture.

The USI Council has appointed Prof. Dr. med. Claudio Bassetti as USI’s new Rector. An internationally renowned neurologist born and raised in Ticino, he will officially take office on 1 September 2026. He will be joined by Alan Valnegri, USI’s new Chief Operating Officer.

Since 2022, USI has partnered with EPFL, ETHZ, UZH and ZHAW in Space Exchange Switzerland to promote the space sector and careers in Switzerland. USI Career helped drive a 600% rise in Swiss applications for ESA internships, with more projects on the horizon. Work in the sector? Get in touch!

USI has climbed 17 places in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and 20 places for research impact. It also remains one of the world’s most international universities, ranking 16th for international students and 35th for international faculty.
