Diventato ormai un appuntamento fisso dell'estate, il Seminario Internazionale di Progettazione proporrà la sua XXXIII edizione dal 4 al 17 luglio a Monte Carasso, erede dell’esperienza avviata da Luigi Snozzi.

WISH 2026 – Workshop on International Social Housing: un progetto sull’alloggio collettivo tra tradizione e innovazione. Quest'anno si terrà in Jamaica, a Black River, dal 5 al 15 luglio e a Mendrisio dal 16 luglio al 5 agosto.

La Summer School "Favorita's Waters" indaga l'acqua come dispositivo culturale e ambientale attraverso il patrimonio idrico di Palermo. Prevede lezioni e progetti volti a restituire l'acqua alla città. Si terrà dal 5 all'11 luglio, promossa dall'Istituto Svizzero con USI e vari partner.

Dal 6 al 12 luglio si terrà a Mendrisio il workshop Transversal Territory, diretto da Antoine de Perrot e Mansoureh Aalaii: un’esperienza artistico-performativa per esplorare l’ambiente con nuovi sguardi, in dialogo con la comunità, in collaborazione con la Città di Mendrisio.

Workshop sulle pratiche di curatela e gestione museale, fondato sul dialogo tra curatore e architetto. Il programma prevede lezioni e sopralluoghi con esperti per riflettere sulle sfide dei musei oggi. Si terrà a Roma dal 12 al 18 luglio, in collaborazione con l’Istituto Svizzero di Roma.

Dal 19 al 26 luglio, l’Accademia di architettura dell’USI a Mendrisio apre le sue porte alla prima edizione di Accademia Archi Camp, una summer school in lingua inglese per scoprire l’architettura come strumento per leggere, immaginare e trasformare il mondo.

La Summer School su High-Performance Computing e Data Analytics offre formazione su programmazione parallela, ottimizzazione del codice e deep learning su sistemi HPC. Si terrà dal 25 al 30 luglio presso l'Hotel Serpiano con possibilità di partecipazione online.

REAL – Reality Exploration Academy of Locarno è un programma di dieci giorni che unisce ricerca audiovisiva e pratica creativa per ripensare il racconto del reale. Si terrà a Locarno dal 5 al 15 agosto. Info e iscrizioni qui.

La Summer School in Social Science Methods offre corsi intensivi su metodi qualitativi, quantitativi e misti nelle scienze sociali, con workshop preliminari e un vivace programma sociale. Si terrà a Lugano dal 6 al 21 agosto.

La sesta edizione di SIESTA – International Software Engineering Summer School si svolgerà a Lugano dal 2 al 4 settembre. Tre giornate di alta formazione, confronto e networking nel cuore della ricerca software.

La CPS Summer School si terrà ad Alghero, Italia dal 21 al 25 settembre. Rivolta a studenti ed esperti, copre tutte le fasi di progettazione dei sistemi ciberfisici (CPS), analizzando sfide chiave, trend e strumenti hardware/software avanzati.

Now a regular summer event, the International Design Seminar will hold its 33rd edition from 4 to 17 July in Monte Carasso, continuing the tradition started by Luigi Snozzi.

WISH 2025 – Workshop on International Social Housing: a project on collective housing between tradition and innovation. It will be held in Jamaica at Black River, from 5 to 15 July and in Mendrisio from 16 July to 5 August.

The "Favorita's Waters" Summer School explores water as a cultural and environmental device through Palermo's heritage. Organised by Istituto Svizzero with USI and partners from 5 to 11 July, it includes lectures and projects aimed at reconnecting the city with its water.

The Transversal Territory workshop, directed by Antoine de Perrot and Mansoureh Aalaii, will take place in Mendrisio from 6 to 12 July: an artistic-performative experience to explore the environment with new perspectives, in dialogue with the community, in collaboration with the City of Mendrisio.

This workshop explores curatorial practices and museum management through curator-architect dialogue. It features lectures and site visits with experts on modern museum challenges and will be held in Rome from 12 to 18 July, in collaboration with Istituto Svizzero.

From 19 to 26 July, the USI Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio hosts the first Accademia Archi Camp. This English-language summer school explores architecture as a tool for interpreting, imagining, and transforming the world.

The Summer School on High-Performance Computing and Data Analytics offers training in parallel programming, code optimisation and deep learning on HPC systems. It will be held from 25 to 30 July at Hotel Serpiano with opportunities for digital participation.

REAL – Reality Exploration Academy of Locarno is a ten-day programme combining audiovisual research and creative practice to rethink the narration of reality. It will take place in Locarno from 5 to 15 August. Info and registration here.

The sixth edition of SIESTA – International Software Engineering Summer School will take place in Lugano from 2 to 4 September. Three days of advanced training, discussion and networking at the heart of software research.

The CPS Summer School will be held in Alghero, Italy, from 21 to 25 September. Aimed at students and experts, it covers all stages of cyber-physical systems (CPS) design, exploring key challenges, trends, and advanced hardware/software tools.
