Salute mestruale, equità e qualità della vita: un tema ancora troppo spesso circondato da silenzi e tabù. A partire dalle nuove "Menstrual station" introdotte nei campus, l'USI apre una riflessione più ampia su inclusione, consapevolezza e bisogni quotidiani.

Domenica 14 giugno al LAC di Lugano, nell'ambito del Lugano Dance Project 2026, l'Atelier Blumer dell'Accademia di architettura dell'USI presenterà "The Lovely Gears", performance realizzata con la coreografa e attivista Chiara Bersani attorno al tema del movimento e delle "macchine zombie".

La docente dell'USI Anne-Linda Camerini e la dottoranda Giovanna Pedroni sono intervenute alla trasmissione "Prima Ora" della RSI per discutere della relazione tra giochi, videogiochi e salute, con particolare focus sulle implicazioni individuali e per la salute pubblica.

Dal 24 al 26 giugno l'USI ospiterà il workshop "iTrust: Building Trustworthy Social Media for Healthy Public Discourse". L'iniziativa riunirà ricercatori, professionisti dei media ed esperti di governance digitale per riflettere sul ruolo dell'IA e dei social media nel dibattito pubblico.

Martedì 30 giugno l'USI ospiterà la Prof.ssa Chei Sian Lee della Nanyang Technological University di Singapore per un seminario dedicato ai "digital nudges" nei contesti educativi online. L'incontro approfondirà il ruolo delle tecnologie digitali e dell'IA nel guidare l'esperienza di apprendimento.

La Facoltà di scienze informatiche ha celebrato la Giornata internazionale delle donne e delle ragazze nella scienza con un pranzo dedicato a incontro e scambio tra studentesse, ricercatrici e collaboratrici per rafforzare relazioni, mentoring e senso di appartenenza a Facoltà e comunità accademica.

Dall'8 al 10 giugno Lugano ospiterà l'EUonAIR Symposium on the Ethics of Generative AI in Education and Research. Promosso da SUPSI e IDSIA nell'ambito dell'alleanza europea EUonAIR, riunirà esperti e istituzioni per riflettere sull'impatto dell'IA generativa nella formazione e nella ricerca.

Alla sua 27ª edizione, REAL rinnova e rilancia l’eredità della storica Documentary Summer School con un programma intensivo di 10 giorni sul cinema del reale, con incontri con esperti, riflessioni critiche e pratica audiovisiva. Il termine per le candidature è giovedì 28 maggio.

Dal 19 al 26 luglio il Campus di Mendrisio ospiterà la prima edizione di Accademia Archi Camp, la prima summer school dell’USI dedicata all’architettura e alla scoperta del territorio ticinese. Rivolta a giovani tra i 16 e i 20 anni, proporrà atelier, workshop e attività in lingua inglese.

La startup dal programma di incubazione dell’USI Startup Centre che ha sviluppato un software di analisi del sito e progettazione concettuale per architetti è tra i candidati per il premio del pubblico di Prix SIA con “Mobilis in Mobili”.

From 8 to 10 June, Lugano will host the EUonAIR Symposium on the Ethics of Generative AI in Education and Research.
