L'USI torna ad aprire le sue porte al pubblico. Sabato 25 aprile, dalle 12:00 alle 19:30, si terrà infatti la seconda edizione di UniVerso, con tante attività per far divertire, sperimentare e imparare grandi e piccini. Raggiungici sul Campus Ovest e scatena l​​a tua curiosità!

Un ciclo di tre lezioni pubbliche del Prof. Michele Cometa esplora il fototesto di guerra dal primo Novecento a oggi, tra propaganda, media e strategie di smascheramento della disinformazione. Gli incontri si terranno il 24 marzo, il 13 aprile e il 5 maggio presso il Campus Ovest di Lugano.

C'è vita oltre la Terra, o siamo soli nell'universo? Intervistata nell'ambito della trasmissione della RSI Prima Ora, la Professoressa Svetlana Berdyugina, Direttrice dell'Istituto ricerche solari Aldo e Cele Daccò, ha raccontato la natura del suo lavoro di ricerca in seno a NCCR Genesis.

La Dr. Francesca Galli, docente a contratto presso la Facoltà di comunicazione, cultura e società dell'USI, è stata insignita del Venus International Women Award nella categoria Outstanding Woman Researcher in Medieval Literature. Recentemente ha anche ottenuto uno Starting Grant dal FNS.

L’USI partecipa a Phänomena 2026 con l’installazione interattiva “Stay on Track!” dedicata alla guida autonoma. All’inaugurazione del 13 marzo, il Presidente della Confederazione Guy Parmelin è stato il primo a testarla, modificando circuito e condizioni di guida delle auto autonome in scala.

La scorsa settimana si è tenuta la Re-week, la settimana della sostenibilità USI–SUPSI: una varietà di eventi che ha visto protagonista la sostenibilità e l’educazione alla sostenibilità nel contesto accademico. Ringraziamo tutte e tutti i partecipanti per aver animato questa edizione.

Perché la nostra capacità di attenzione è limitata? Le nuove tecnologie ci distraggono troppo? Ne parleremo il 26 marzo al Campus Ovest di Lugano con Silvia Miano (Psichiatra infantile, EOC) e Bruno Giussani (giornalista) e giocando con la nostra attenzione grazie al mentalista Federico Soldati.

In vista della giornata di porte aperte al pubblico UniVerso, la Facoltà di scienze biomediche dell'USI organizza una raccolta di peluche che diventeranno i "pazienti" del Teddy Bear Hospital. La raccolta avverrà presso il Campus Ovest il 25 e il 26 marzo e presso il Campus Est il 1 di aprile.

Il 17 marzo al Campus Est di Lugano si terrà un evento dedicato alla medicina nucleare nelle malattie endocrinologiche. Rivolto a medici di base e specialisti, l’incontro offrirà un aggiornamento sulle più recenti linee guida internazionali, interventi di esperti e discussioni multidisciplinari.

Il 19 e il 20 marzo si terrà un workshop internazionale conclusivo del progetto FNS sulla “Civiltà dell’Anatomia” nella letteratura del Seicento. L’incontro riunirà studiosi e giovani ricercatori per discutere gli spazi materiali e metaforici dell’anatomia tra arti, scienze e letteratura.

Lunedì 23 marzo l’USI ospiterà Pizza & Science, un evento aperto a giovani e famiglie per avvicinarsi alla ricerca in modo informale. In programma un talk di Giorgio Vallortigara e un incontro “Ask a Nobel!” con Aaron Ciechanover, tra divulgazione, domande e momenti conviviali con pizza offerta.

Mercoledì 25 marzo Enzo Wälchli, operatore deeptech e ex Chief Commercial Officer di ANYbotics, parlerà di come si trasforma un progetto di laboratorio in una startup in rapida crescita durante il Business Apéro, un evento di networking annuale aperto a studenti, ricercatori e professionisti.

USI Transfer promuove il corso sulla proprietà intellettuale sviluppato dall'Ufficio Europeo dei Brevetti (EPO), rivolto alle studentesse e agli studenti di bachelor, master e dottorato. Il programma va dal 23 marzo al 30 giugno 2026 - le iscrizioni chiudono il 18 marzo.

Grazie al progetto Menstrual Station sono adesso disponibili sui campus USI prodotti mestruali ad utilizzo gratuito. Il progetto mira a ridurre le disuguaglianze e a supportare una maggiore consapevolezza e normalizzazione del tema.

Mangiare sano e sostenibile è una scelta che influisce sulla nostra salute e sull’ambiente. Ne parleremo il 24 marzo alla Casa della sostenibilità con il Dr. Giovanni Pedrazzini, riflettendo su alimentazione quotidiana, scelte consapevoli e impatto dei nostri comportamenti. Seguirà un aperitivo.

Alla 26ª cerimonia delle borse di studio della Fondazione Zonta Club Lugano, sette studenti hanno ricevuto un contributo di 4'000 franchi svizzeri. Tra loro anche Kristina Krebs, studentessa di medicina presso la Facoltà di scienze biomediche dell'USI, premiata per l'anno accademico 2025/26.

Anna Micossi ha ottenuto la Licenza in Scienze della comunicazione all'USI nel 2002. Attualmente dirige l'azienda di comunicazione 27 Factory a Lugano, di cui è anche co-fondatrice.

In three public lectures, Prof. Michele Cometa explores the evolution of the war phototext from the early 20th century to today, between propaganda, media, and strategies for debunking disinformation. The lectures will be held on 24 March, 13 April, 5 May at the West Campus Lugano.

Is there life beyond Earth, or are we alone in the universe? In an interview for the RSI programme Prima Ora, Professor Svetlana Berdyugina, Director of Istituto ricerche solari Aldo e Cele Daccò, discussed the nature of her research within NCCR Genesis.

USI is participating in Phänomena 2026 with the interactive installation "Stay on Track!", dedicated to autonomous driving. At the opening on 13 March, the President of the Confederation, Guy Parmelin, was the first to test it, modifying the track and driving conditions of the scale autonomous cars.

In anticipation of the UniVerso Open Day, the USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences is organising a collection of soft toys. These will become the "patients" of the Teddy Bear Hospital. Donate your Teddies on 25 and 26 March at West Campus Lugano and on 1 April at East Campus Lugano.

On 17 March at East Campus Lugano will host an event dedicated to nuclear medicine in endocrinology. Aimed at general practitioners and specialists, the symposium will provide an update on the latest international guidelines, featuring expert presentations and multidisciplinary discussions.

On 19 and 20 March, an international workshop will conclude the SNSF project on "Civilisation of Anatomy" in 17th-century literature. The event will unite scholars and young researchers to discuss the physical and metaphorical spaces of anatomy across the arts, sciences, and literature.

On 23 March, USI hosts Pizza & Science, an informal event for youth and families to get closer to research. The programme includes a talk by Giorgio Vallortigara and a “Ask a Nobel!” session with Aaron Ciechanover, featuring popularisation, questions, and convivial moments with complimentary pizza.

On 25 March, Enzo Wälchli, deeptech operator and former Chief Commercial Officer of ANYbotics, will share his insights on transforming a lab technology project into a fast-growing startup during Business Apéro, an annual networking event open to students, researchers and business professionals.

USI Transfer promotes the intellectual property course developed by the European Patent Office (EPO), aimed at Bachelor, Master, and PhD students. The programme runs from 23 March to 30 June 2026 – registrations close on 18 March.

Thanks to the Menstrual Station project, free menstrual products are now available on USI campuses. The project aims to reduce inequalities and support greater awareness and normalisation of the topic.

Healthy and sustainable eating is a choice that affects both our health and the environment. We will discuss this on 24 March at the House of Sustainability with Dr Giovanni Pedrazzini, reflecting on daily diet, conscious choices, and the impact of our behaviour. An aperitif will follow.

At the 26th scholarship awards ceremony held by the Zonta Club Lugano Foundation, seven students received grants of 4,000 francs each. Among the recipients for the 2025/26 academic year was Kristina Krebs, a medical student at USI Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.

Anna Micossi obtained her degree in Communication Sciences from USI in 2002. She currently manages the communication agency 27 Factory in Lugano, of which she is also a co-founder.
