Il primo USI Hackathon "a suon di dati"

Quello che si svolgerà nell’aula magna del campus di Lugano tra il 15 e il 17 novembre è un data-driven contest. Le squadre avranno a disposizione dati reali forniti dalla Città di Lugano. Due le sfide: analisi di dati e sviluppo di soluzioni innovative (coding). Da oggi sono aperte le iscrizioni.

The data-driven contest will be held on Lugano campus between 15 and 17 November. The teams will have access to real data provided by the City of Lugano. Two will be the challenges: coding and data analysis. Registration open from today.

The Bucci sisters will bring their testimony as survivours of Auschwitz/Birkenau and Dr. Mengele experiments. The conference will be held in the Lugano campus aula magna on Wednesday, 23 October at 6 pm. Moderated by journalist Carlo Silini, it is organised by the Goren Monti Ferrari Foundation.

A book for life: conference with Antonella Anedda

Antonella Anedda Angioy will present her book "Historiae" (2018) on Thursday, 24 October (6 pm, room A11, Lugano campus) moderated by Stefano Prandi and Arnaldo Soldani. The poet and essayist teaches at ISI Contemporary Italian Literature and Literature of the 20th century and second half of 19th.

Piero Boitani, Professor of Italian Language and Literature at "Sapienza" in Rome and lecturer at USI, will hold a conference on how literature interprets the transformations of man. The event will be held in Italian on Tuesday, 22 October at 6 pm at the Lugano Cantonal Library.

Darko Petrovic

After his Master's degree in Embedded Systems Design at USI in 2010 and after working for several large companies, Darko Petrovic wanted to gain the experience of working in a start-up: he chose Cyberhaven in Lausanne, drawn by the technology used and by the high quality of his team of engineers.
