La scorsa settimana è entrato in vigore sui campus a Lugano e a Mendrisio l'obbligo della mascherina anche nelle aule. Come ha illustrato il Rettore dell'USI nel suo messaggio alla comunità accademica, l'obiettivo è preservare il valore del nostro stare insieme come comunità.

In occasione della Open Access Week tenutasi settimana scorsa, l’USI ha pubblicato il documento che definisce l’approccio che l’Università intende adottare rispetto a questo importante argomento, centrale ai fini della condivisione della conoscenza e dell’innovazione scientifica ed economica.

Nuova linfa per le borse di studio di solidarietà

È ancora grande la generosità a favore degli studenti in difficoltà a causa di COVID-19. La Corporazione studentesca ha finanziato le borse di studio con 10’000 CHF e l'iniziativa di crowdfunding lanciata questa estate ha avuto esito positivo, raggiungendo la soglia di finanziamento di 4’000 CHF.

I prof. USI hanno partecipato alla trasmissione RSI dedicata all'omicidio di Samuel Paty, docente di storia e geografia ucciso in Francia da un estremista per aver mostrato in classe le vignette di Charlie Hebdo su Maometto, mentre spiegava agli studenti cosa fosse la libertà di espressione.

A 80 anni dalla morte di Walter Benjamin due professori dell'USI hanno contribuito a celebrarlo alla RSI approfondendo alcuni concetti preziosi del suo lavoro: il filosofo Nicola Emery si è concentrato sul concetto di "Destino", mentre Marco Maggi su quello di "Immagine".

New life to solidarity scholarships

There is still great generous support for students in need because of COVID-19. The Student Corporation funded the scholarships with 10,000 CHF, and the crowdfunding initiative launched this summer was successful, reaching the funding threshold of 4,000 CHF.
