sample usi

"Facciamo conoscenza" Inaugural lecture by Professor Franco Manzi

sample usi
On Monday, 9 November, at the West Campus Lugano Auditorium, Prof. Franco Manzi, Lecturer at Facoltà di Teologia di Lugano, affiliated to USI, will deliver the lecture "Ecclesiology, christology and Christian existence in the Letter to the Hebrews" as part of the "Facciamo conoscenza" series. At the heart of the lecture, the third in the series, is one of the most singular writings of the New Testament: the Letter to the Hebrews, which, according to the proposed reconstruction, is neither a letter, nor a text written by the Apostle Paul, nor addressed to recipients of the Jewish faith. Manzi will explore its origins as a discourse of exhortation to the early Christian communities, delving into the figure of Christ as mediator between God and humans, the meaning of his sacrifice, and the role of the Church. The lecture will also show how faith translates into daily life through prayer, solidarity and sharing. The encounter, in Italian, is open to the public.
