I primi diplomi della Facoltà di scienze biomediche

La più recente tra le Facoltà dell'USI, quella di Scienze biomediche, in questi giorni ha conferito i primi diplomi: otto medici che erano già in possesso del Diploma federale in medicina umana hanno ottenuto il titolo di "Dottore in medicina" (Dr. med.). Congratulazioni!

ECREA 2018 a Lugano: un successo in cifre, e non solo

Si è concluso sabato il settimo convegno biennale di ECREA: quattro giorni, 1400 partecipanti provenienti da 51 Paesi, più di 1000 presentazioni accademiche contenute nelle oltre 100 sessioni tematiche e due plenarie. Per una settimana l’hashtag #ECREA2018 è stato il primo in classifica in Svizzera.

La giustizia riparativa mira a riparare, per quanto possibile, il danno causato da un reato grazie ad un sistema in cui vengono attivamente coinvolti autori, vittime e società. Un approccio che rovescia i tradizionali paradigmi del sistema sanzionatorio, a tema oggi dalle 14:00 in aula A22.

CAS in medicina del sonno: 17 studenti da 10 Paesi

Il primo "Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sleep, Consciousness and Related Disorders" è iniziato con 17 studenti da 10 diversi Paesi. Il programma è offerto dall’USI in collaborazione con l’Università di Berna e diversi partner clinici tra cui l’Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale ticinese.

L’EOC diventa membro ordinario dell'organizzazione svizzera per la ricerca clinica insieme ai 5 ospedali universitari, l’Ospedale cantonale di San Gallo, l’Accademia Svizzera delle Scienze Mediche e il Collegio dei Decani. Un riconoscimento importante in vista del nuovo Master di medicina dell'USI.

Bachelor Ministage: 2 giorni da studente dell'USI

L'8 e 9 novembre i futuri studenti potranno conoscere il percorso di studio in Architettura, il 26 e il 27 novembre gli altri Bachelor dell'USI. Nei due giorni di Bachelor Ministage gli studenti interessati potranno seguire le lezioni, visitare i campus, incontrare studenti e professori.

Dopo il Master in Banking and Finance (2015) l'alumna Milica Vukovic ha dapprima lavorato come consulente per servizi finanziari per Accenture, in seguito ha optato per una carriera da analista finanziaria in ambito aziendale. Ora è Principal Financial Analyst di Hughes Network Systems a Washington.

First diplomas by the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences

The Faculty of Biomedical Sciences is the youngest among USI faculties. Its first diplomas were conferred recently: eight doctors, who have already obtained the Federal Diploma in Human Medicine, have been awarded the title of "Medical Doctor". Congratulations!

ECREA 2018 in Lugano: a success in figures and more

The seventh ECREA conference ended on Saturday: four days, 1400 participants from 51 countries, over 1000 academic presentations held in the over 100 themed sessions and two plenaries. For a week the hashtag #ECREA2018 was first in Switzerland.

CAS on sleep medicine: 17 students from 10 countries

The first “Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sleep, Consciousness and Related Disorders” kicked off with 17 students from 10 countries. The programme is offered by USI in collaboration with University of Bern and several partners, among which Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale ticinese.

EOC becomes part of the academic organisation of which the five university hospitals, the Cantonal Hospital of St. Gallen, the Swiss Academy of Medical Sciences, and the College of Deans, are members. An important recognition in the light of the new Master of Medicine at USI.

Bachelor Ministage: 2 days as an USI student

Prospect students will have a chance to learn more about the study programme in Architecture on November 8 and 9, and about the other USI bachelors on November 26 and 27. During the Bachelor Ministage students will be able to follow classes, visit the campuses, and meet with students and professors.

The section “The Practice of Teaching” at Biennale di Venezia gathers works from architects who teach at USI Academy, and clearly shows that teaching enriches the culture and practice of architecture. A public event on the subject will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 2 pm in Venice.
