A due mesi dalla pubblicazione della classifica mondiale delle migliori università con meno di cinquant’anni, il Times Higher Education pubblica quella delle migliori università con meno di cinquemila studenti. Incrociando i due ranking l'USI è ottava al mondo fra le università giovani e piccole.

Il Consiglio della Facoltà di scienze informatiche ha eletto il Prof. Marc Langheinrich quale nuovo Decano per il biennio 2021-2023. Ad affiancarlo saranno i due Vice-Decani: il Prof. Ernst C. Wit e il Prof. Patrick T. Eugster. I nuovi vertici della Facoltà entreranno in carica il 1° settembre 2021.

Il Consiglio dell’Accademia ha eletto il Prof. Walter Angonese quale nuovo Direttore dell'Accademia di architettura per il biennio 2021-2023. Entrerà in carica il 1° settembre succedendo al Prof. Riccardo Blumer e si presenterà alla stampa il 15 settembre alle 10:00 al Teatro dell'architettura.

Le Accademie svizzere delle scienze hanno pubblicato un primo rapporto di valutazione globale sulla comunicazione della scienza in Svizzera, realizzato da un gruppo di 16 esperti. Il rapporto offre anche 20 raccomandazioni per migliorare la comunicazione scientifica e l'impegno pubblico in Svizzera.

Informatics: Marc Langheinrich is the new Dean

The Council of USI Faculty of Informatics has appointed Prof. Marc Langheinrich as the new Dean for the two-year term 2021-2023. Joining him will be two Vice-Deans: Prof. Ernst C. Wit and Prof. Patrick T. Eugster. The new Faculty Dean and Vice-Deans will take office on 1 September 2021.
