SECreTour drives sustainable cultural tourism by empowering local communities, shaping a fair, creative, and sustainable tourism approach, and testing diverse European pilot cases to foster fair development, community engagement, and policy insights. The Chair is partner with 10 other institutions.
Thanks to the collaboration with the Peruvian photographer Heinz Plenge, a digital booklet has been created by Mendrisiotto Turismo on the Holy Week Processions, to document the richness of this heritage inscribed in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2019.
Organised by USI MA in Tourism & Locarno regional tourism office, the course is opened to professionals, who are interested in developing their skills.To be held in Muralto/Locarno on 21-22.10 & 14-16.11, it will have Robert Davidson as main instructor and combine classes, visits and case-studies.
Done in collaboration with the Swiss Study Foundation, it will guide smart university students to reflect on the many dimensions that link Heritage, Digital Media and Sustainable Tourism.
