Titled "ICTs and the Challenges of 'Overtourism': Exploring the Case of Machupicchu", the School offers a unique opportunity to delve into the intricate dynamics between tourism, heritage and sustainability in iconic sites in Peru, and address them with the help of ICTs.
The program integrates lectures with immersive field experiences in Lima, Machupicchu, and the Sacred Valley of Cusco, with the goal of developing actionable proposals to address the sites' challenges while enhancing their heritage values and dissemination potential.
