What is a European partnership The SNSF is involved in several European partnerships (e.g. CHIST-ERA, QuantERA). These initiatives allow researchers based in at least 3 different participating countries, including CH, to submit joint proposals. Evaluation is done centrally; funding nationally. |

Can we expect budget cuts Budget cuts will not affect the EU partnership calls that are open right now. The 25% cut will apply starting from 2026. Considering that, on average, only 4 projects per call can be funded, and that some may be discontinued, we encourage you to take advantage of the 2025 calls that are open now.
